Itinerary: Western Canada Lifestyle Tour

Day 1:

Welcome to Canada! Your tour escort will meet & greet with you in the arrival section of the airport and together we will start our  journey for the next 8 days. We will drive you to the hotel and check you in, give you some time to fresh up and then provide you with a briefing. The rest of the day/evening is to rest, relax and settle in!

Day 2:

Today we will start the day with our breakfast and then take you on a Vancouver City Tour (when you start in Calgary then please read in reverse from Day 8), a nice stroll through Stanley Park and a visit to Granville Island and a vitis to Cailano Suspension Bridge & Park. There will be plenty of time to discover this wonderful city so you will get a good impression of Vancouver before we drive back to our hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3:

After breakfast we’ll check out and “hit the road” to drive out of the city and into the beautiful Fraser Valley. You will have a lot to digest today! We will drive through this fruit & farm region where we also visit one of the many Blueberry Farms, a local Farmers market and a Dutch Dairy Farm. Then it’s time to check in at our hotel.

Day 4:

For this day, we’ve planned a drive from the Fraser Valley into the Okanagan, a region where the only Desert in Canada is registered and where at the same time you’ll find the most Wine & Fruit Orchards of Western Canada so, finish your breakfast, check out and let’s get rolling! First stop will be to visit the beautiful Bridal Falls. Part of this journey is also for you to explore and experience the fascinating natural environment with all of its variety and diversity. Our next stop is Kelowna where you will experience this wonderful mix of vineyards and orchards, ancient history and modern culture. Here we have made arrangements for our group to enjoy a nice wine tasting tour and some great views of the vineyards and Lake Okanagan. Then it’s time to find our hotel and check in, enjoy your evening while looking back on a “fruitful” day.

Day 5:

After breakfast and checkout we will start our scenic drive into the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains while we will be driving through 5 “Canada National Parks”, in two provinces, British Columbia and Alberta: first we’ll enter Mt. Revelstoke NP, then Glacier NP, followed by Yoho NP, then Kootenay NP and finally we end our day in Banff NP. You are in the famous and unique Canadian Rockies now, where we will spend 2 nights.

Day 6:

This is the time to do some sightseeing! Beautiful Mountains, Lakes & Glaciers to explore….

Day 7:

Today we will continue our journey towards the badlands, foothills and prairies. First we will drive to the Wetlands and to Drumheller where we’ll visit the Royal Tyrell Museum where you’ll not only have a chance to see the amazing Badlands,  but also you will be introduced to real size dinosaurs (skeletons)! From there we wil take you via the foothills to a real and authentic Prairie Ranch where horses are the core focus as well as other activities on and around the Ranch. This will be a true Canadian Cowboy experience for you. Enjoy it and get into the real & regional “country style” before we check in at our nearby accommodation later that day.

Day 8:

After breakfast we will explore a bit more from our surroundings and go visit a few more places of interest, located near Calgary, where you’ll get to understand why they called Calgary the “Cowboy City” (although there is a lot of Oil & Gas business going on there). This day is full of “last day surprises” before we wrap it all up with a nice “farewell dinner” in the evening.

Day 9:

Today is the day that we have to bring you back to the airport again for your journey back home. We hope that this journey showed you in a nutshell what life in Canada is all about. Hopefully you truly indulged and enjoyed it. Of course we will not say Goodbye, we always say: ” Till We Meet Again” when wishing you a save journey back home and sincerely hope to welcome you here in Canada again in the near future….(for those starting here in Calgary read in reverse, starting at this Day!).
